You Are Not Alone

Often times when we have weathered the storms of life and are left standing to recover the pieces of what the storm left, we began to discover things about our resilience that we did not know were there before. In order to deal with traumatic experiences it is important that we process our feelings. Processing our feelings mean regardless of how hard it is to deal with at that moment, we do not just sweep it under the rug or suppress it, we take a deep breath and dive right in to getting through it. Processing our feelings requires us to at times feel pain, analyze the pain and move through the pain. There may be tears, and there may be fears associated with revisiting this area, however healing comes when you are able to process and deal with the situation head on. You are not alone, through pain comes strength and through strength comes perseverance to make it to the next storm in life. We will be alongside you holding the umbrella as you weather the storm.

What is anxiety ?

For some people this fear can be constant, overwhelming and can be disabling. At some point in time everyone may experience occasional anxiety but when your worry and fear does not go away and it gets worse over time it may be time to seek professional help.

What are panic attacks?

Panic attacks are sudden episodes of intense fear or anxiety and physical symptoms based on a "perceived threat" rather than imminent danger. Many people are plagued with anxiety and panic attacks and they do not know who to turn to in there times of need. Symptoms of panic attack can include but are not limited to pounding heart, sweating, palpitations, trembling, shaking, shortness of breath and a smothering feeling.

Accepting a Loss

There is one thing that is inevitable in life and that is the fact that we will all experience loss and some point in time. It is important to understand how to properly grieve whatever the loss is in a healthy way. The loss can be a person, a marriage, a job and a relationship. One thing to remember is it is acceptable to question why this happened and to feel left with unanswered questions but the thing you must remember is that this is a normal part of life that no one wants to feel however, at some point everyone will experience this  at some point in their lives.
